We are a group of living historians that live in and around the Mosby Heritage Area. We are dedicated to preserving our area's extraordinary history through first person interpretations and vignettes during the poignant days of the War Between the States period from 1861 - 1865. Our goal is to inspire the discovery of the life and times of the people that lived during that time, their experiences, and their influence on the current generation. Our mission is to provide entertainment while educating about those days gone by and promote the value of safekeeping our past.
Currently, we have the Gray Ghost - Confederate Colonel John S. Mosby, Mrs. Pauline Mosby, Confederate spy: Laura Ratcliffe, Confederate spy: Belle Boyd, Union spies: Elizabeth Van Lew and Mary Elizabeth Bowser, Confederate Cavalry Captain: Sally Louisa Tompkins, and Rhode Island Volunteer Sullivan Ballou and his wife Sarah.
Our Players give generously of their time, talent and expertise to bring the presentations to the public and any interested person wishing to join our team is welcomed and encouraged to aid our historic efforts. To contact the Mosby Players please call Paula Johnson at (540) 341-7019 or by email pauladrdr@aol.com.
